Build with Concrete Lifting Pros

Voids

The Void Filling Process

At Olympic Concrete Lifting, we use expanding polyurethane foam to fill voids under concrete — even in tough-to-reach areas. Our process is quick, non-invasive, and works for all kinds of projects, whether residential, commercial, or municipal.

1. Site Inspection & Assessment

We start by looking over the area to understand what’s going on beneath the slab. We’ll check for voids, inspect the condition of the concrete, and identify any drainage or soil issues that may be contributing to the problem. This helps us create a game plan that solves both the symptom and the root cause.

2. Prep & Drilling Access Holes

Once we know what we’re working with, we get the area ready. Our team drills small holes into the concrete — usually no bigger than a dime — so we can reach the voids below. There’s no tearing up your slab or major cleanup.

3. Injecting Polyurethane Foam

Next, we inject high-density polyurethane foam through the access points. As the foam expands, it fills empty spaces, bonds with surrounding soil and concrete, and stabilizes the area. It also lifts the slab if needed. And because it’s waterproof, it won’t wash out or break down over time like other materials can.

4. Monitoring & Adjustment

As the foam works, we monitor the slab to make sure it settles back to its proper level. This step is crucial to making sure the job is done right — and that it stays that way.

5. Final Check & Preventative Tips

Once the foam is set, we give everything a final check and make sure the area is safe and stable. We’ll also give you a few recommendations to help prevent future settling issues.
